How to Use Blu Services

A practical guide for customers and workers covering services, sub-services, add-ons, bookings, cash payments and bank transfers.

Getting Started

Set up your Blu account in minutes
  1. Download the Blu App Download the Blu customer app from your app store. Search for "Blu" and install it on your device.
  2. Create Your Account Open the app and tap "Sign Up". Enter your mobile number, full name and email address. You will receive an OTP to verify your phone number.
  3. Complete Your Profile Add your profile picture and set your default address. This helps workers reach you faster and makes your bookings more accurate.
  4. Explore the Dashboard Once registered, you will land on the home screen where you can browse categories, services and booking updates.
Tip: Keep your phone number and address up to date so workers can confirm booking details quickly.

Services, Sub-services & Add-ons

Understand what you are selecting before booking

Blu organizes every booking so you can find the right worker and only pay for the work you need.

Categories

Broad groups such as Cleaning, Plumbing, Electrical or AC Services. Start here when you know the type of work.

Sub-services

Specific work inside a category, such as bathroom cleaning, tap repair or wiring inspection. This narrows your results.

Services

The actual package offered by a worker, including description, price, expected duration and included work.

Add-ons

Optional extras you can add before checkout, such as extra time, additional rooms, materials or extra service items.

  1. Choose the closest sub-service Pick the option that best matches the actual job. This helps Blu show workers who are relevant to your request.
  2. Check what is included Read the service description, duration and pricing before selecting a worker. Use booking notes for important details like access instructions or exact repair requirements.
  3. Select add-ons only when needed Add-ons increase the booking total and may affect the time needed to complete the job. Review the summary before confirming.
Tip: If the work you need is not listed as an add-on, mention it in your booking notes so the worker can confirm before starting.

Browsing & Booking Services

Find and book the right worker
  1. Browse Categories From the home screen, tap on a category like Cleaning, Plumbing, or Electrical. Then choose the matching sub-service so your results are specific.
  2. Filter & Compare Use filters to narrow results by price, rating or location. Compare workers by viewing their profiles, reviews and service details.
  3. Select a Service Tap on a service to view full details, including pricing, duration, included work, available add-ons, worker info and customer reviews.
  4. Add Optional Extras Choose any add-ons you need before checkout. Blu updates the booking total so you can review everything before confirming.
  5. Choose a Worker Select your preferred worker after reviewing the service details, price, profile information and customer reviews.
  6. Confirm Your Booking Pick your preferred date and time, add your service address, include any notes for the worker, and hit "Book Now". You will see a summary with the total cost before confirming.
Tip: Before confirming, review the selected service, add-ons, address, date, time and total amount.

Payments

Cash and bank transfer only

Blu supports two payment methods for customer bookings:

Cash Payment

Pay the worker directly after the job. The job closes once both sides confirm payment.

Bank Transfer

Upload the bank transfer proof so the worker can confirm receipt from their side.

Tip: Cash and bank transfer bookings are marked paid only after customer and worker confirmation. Admin review remains available for double checking disputes or issues.

Managing Bookings

Track, reschedule, or cancel your bookings

After placing a booking, you can manage it from the My Bookings section:

  • Pending - Your booking has been placed and is awaiting worker confirmation.
  • Accepted - The worker has accepted your booking and will arrive at the scheduled time.
  • In Progress - The worker has started working on your service.
  • Pending Approval - The service is done, but a manual cash or bank transfer payment still needs both-side confirmation.
  • Completed - The service and payment flow are complete. You can now rate and review.
  • Cancelled - The booking was cancelled by you or the worker.

Go to My Bookings, select the booking, and tap "Cancel Booking" if cancellation is available for that booking status. If a cash or bank transfer payment has already happened, contact support so the issue can be checked.

Ratings & Reviews

Help the community by sharing your experience
  1. Rate Your Service After a booking is completed, you'll be prompted to rate the service on a 1-5 star scale.
  2. Write a Review Add a written review describing your experience. Mention what went well and any areas for improvement.
  3. Impact on Workers Your ratings and reviews help future customers understand the quality of the service and help Blu monitor service standards.

Using the Helpdesk

Get help when you need it

If you encounter any issues, Blu's helpdesk system has you covered:

  1. Submit a Ticket Go to Help & Support in the app menu and tap "Raise a Ticket". Describe your issue and attach screenshots if needed.
  2. Track Your Ticket Each ticket gets a unique ID. You can track its status and any admin responses from the helpdesk section.

Getting Started as a Worker

Register and get verified to start receiving bookings
  1. Download the Blu Worker App The worker app is separate from the customer app. Search for "Blu Worker" on your app store and install it.
  2. Register Your Account Register your worker account and fill in your name, contact information, service details and business details if applicable.
  3. Complete Verification Upload your required identity or business documents for verification. Admin verification must be completed before the worker account is fully trusted for service work.
  4. Set Up Your Profile Add a professional profile photo and a clear description of your services. A complete profile helps customers understand what you offer.
Tip: Complete verification as soon as possible so customers can see that your account has been checked.

Setting Up Services, Sub-services & Add-ons

Create listings that match what customers search for

A good service listing should be specific, priced clearly and placed under the correct category and sub-service. This helps customers find the right worker and reduces booking confusion.

Category

The main area of work, such as Cleaning, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting or AC Services.

Sub-service

The exact skill customers need, such as deep cleaning, pipe leak repair, wiring, wall painting or AC servicing.

Service

Your visible offer with title, description, price, duration, images and included work.

Add-on

An optional extra customers can add to a booking, such as extra rooms, materials, additional labour or extra service time.

  1. Select the correct category and sub-service Navigate to My Services and tap "Add Service". Choose the closest category and sub-service so customers searching for that work can find you.
  2. Write a clear service title and description Use a title that describes the job directly, then explain what is included, what is not included, what the customer should prepare and whether materials are included.
  3. Add images and service details Upload clear photos of previous work where possible. Add the expected duration and any requirements that help the customer choose confidently.
  4. Set pricing Choose the pricing model supported by the service, such as fixed price or hourly rate. Keep the base price for the main job only.
  5. Create add-ons for optional work Add-ons should be used for extras that are not always required. Give each add-on a clear name, price and description so customers understand how it changes the total.
  6. Keep the listing active and accurate Update the service when your price, included work, images or add-ons change.
Tip: Do not combine unrelated work into one listing. Create separate services for different jobs, and use add-ons only for optional extras attached to that job.

Managing Bookings

Accept and complete your jobs

When a customer books your service, you'll receive a push notification. Open the booking details to review the customer's requirements, location, and preferred time. Tap "Accept" to confirm or "Decline" if unavailable.

  1. Arrive at the customer's location and tap "Start" to begin the service.
  2. Complete the work described in the booking, including any customer-selected add-ons.
  3. Mark the job as completed once the work is finished.
  4. For cash or bank transfer bookings, confirm receipt after the customer has paid or uploaded proof.
  5. The booking is completed after both customer and worker payment confirmation are recorded.

Pending Accepted In Progress Pending Approval Completed

Manual cash and bank transfer bookings may enter Pending Approval until customer and worker payment confirmation is complete.

Payments & Earnings

Understand how you get paid
Cash Payments

Receive cash directly from the customer, then confirm receipt in the booking.

Bank Transfers

Review the customer's uploaded bank proof and confirm after the transfer is received.

The customer transfers the payment directly to the worker's bank account. The customer uploads the transfer proof in Blu, and the worker confirms receipt after checking the bank account.

Cash and bank transfer payments are not dependent on admin approval to close the job. The customer confirms payment or uploads proof, then the worker confirms receipt. Admin review is kept as a separate audit status for checking issues later.

Use the payment and booking records in the worker app to review completed jobs, pending confirmations and received payments.

Ratings & Reviews

Build customer confidence through completed work

Customer reviews help future customers decide whether your service is the right fit for their booking.

Verification

Complete your identity or business verification so customers know the account has been checked.

Customer Ratings

Good ratings show that customers were satisfied with your completed jobs.

Consistency

Completing jobs as booked and confirming payments correctly supports a reliable service history.

Tip: Deliver the work described in the booking, complete selected add-ons, and confirm payments only after receiving cash or the bank transfer.
